Our legal, policy, and trust, safety, and security team helps keep users and their stuff safe. We protect Dropbox, counsel Dropboxers on challenging problems, and stay in sync with the other teams here.
Responsibilities
- Provide counsel on employee relations and compliance with employment laws to People Ops professionals and business leads located throughout the US, Europe, and Asia.
- Advise on the creation and implementation of best in class employee programs and policies.
- Draft, review, and advise on all types of employee agreements.
- Train People Ops and business leads on compliance with laws and internal policies.
- Manage internal investigations on employment law issues.
- Manage complex projects through to completion and help Dropbox grow by working cross-functionally to open new offices across the globe.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant law and share that knowledge across various teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with major employment laws such as Title VII, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA and policy development in support of those laws.
- Experience representing employers in proceedings before administrative agencies and courts.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and proven ability to manage high-impact projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable navigating complicated, sensitive, and nuanced issues.
- High integrity, strong ethics, and an unflappable demeanor.
- Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- 5+ years experience, with at least some in-house legal experience in a relevant setting.
- JD, admitted to the Bar, distinctive academic record.
