Dropbox is the home for your most important stuff—now we're bringing it to life with a growing family of products. As we scale our global brand, there’s plenty of space for you to grow alongside us and simplify life for millions of people around the world.

We're looking for a Global Head of Talent Management to join the People Operations team and build an excellent talent management approach and team. In this role, you will partner closely with team leads and People Ops Business Partners to ensure that Dropboxers are growing their skills and careers quickly. You will be responsible for helping each team meet its talent development needs, while also ensuring consistency of values across Dropbox. People Ops is still a small team, so you'll need to be an ace at juggling projects and priorities, and be willing to contribute to projects across the broader People Ops universe.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive a company-wide global talent management approach, including (but not limited to) performance management strategy and process, succession planning and learning and development curriculum that develops all Dropboxers
  • Work with the VP of People to influence senior leaders in the company on how to develop and retain the best business and engineering talent in the world
  • Partner closely with team leads and People Ops business partners to understand the unique talent management and learning and development needs of each area; develop creative solutions that meet these needs but still fit within a unified company-wide learning and development framework
  • Partner closely with the Reward team to ensure our performance management process aligns with how we reward and recognize Dropboxers
  • Partner closely with Analytics to determine the best metrics to demonstrate success, measure performance, and support fast growing teams and leaders
  • Oversee the development and design training curriculum for the company and for each business/engineer area
  • Source and meet with outside vendors; evaluate fit for Dropbox; manage vendor relationship to ensure third party trainings are tailored to Dropbox culture and needs
  • Gather feedback around training programs; create and track metrics to gauge effectiveness of programs; iterate based on feedback and metrics
  • Closely follow new talent management, learning & development research, materials, methods and techniques; incorporate new ideas into programs at Dropbox
  • Willingness to lead and contribute to other projects across the People Ops universe

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years HR or other relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a learning and development focused role
  • Strong passion for and knowledge of learning, development, and leadership topics; desire to be a thought leader in these areas
  • Prior experience developing training strategy, materials, and programs; experience facilitating programs also desired
  • Strong project management and vendor management skills; proven track record of working with vendors to create successful training programs
  • Self-starter with ability to take initiative; must be able to identify needs and potential issues, creatively find solutions, and drive projects forward
  • Must be a team player who excels at working cross-functionally
  • Top notch written and verbal communication skills; excellent listening and observation skills
  • Strong analytical abilities as it pertains to measuring success of training programs
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities and adapt in a constantly changing environment
  • BA/BS required, advanced degree preferred
