Designer - New Grad

Dropbox is looking for high potential, highly motivated new graduates with Product Design backgrounds to join our design team in San Francisco. You will have the opportunity to use your full range of visual and interaction skills to create and advance delightful user experiences for new and existing Dropbox products across web and mobile.

Qualified candidates will be a broad-thinking designers who understand business and product challenges and have a demonstrated record of driving the design process from ideation to launch, working well with cross-functional teams and being hands-on with prototyping.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, copywriting, marketing, and product management
  • Solve for simple: You know that great design solutions appear simple and obvious, but only after tireless iteration and work
  • Produce work that embodies the distinctive look and feel of Dropbox’s products and brand
  • Think in terms of design systems and explain design decisions with logic and reason
  • Collaborate with the design team at large and contribute to our larger design strategy
  • Participate in team and company initiatives, design critiques, and collaboration sessions
  • Communicate effectively across organizations (design, engineering, product, marketing)

Requirements

  • Graduation date of Spring 2015 or within one year of leaving university
  • Strong portfolio featuring examples of interaction design work
  • Exceptional and inspiring communication and presentation skills and the ability to clearly describe your design decisions as well as your impact and learnings from each project
  • Internship experience within the design space and a successful record of shipping products
  • A link to your online portfolio, or PDF if necessary, is required. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
