The Corporate Engineering team is looking for a seasoned Technical Program Manager. As a TPM at Dropbox, you’ll have the opportunity to define and influence the strategy and technical direction of one of the most exciting technology companies in the world. You will plan, prioritize, and execute projects and programs which deliver scalable and secure enterprise technology solutions for our internal users. You will provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and other technical resources. Your attention to detail and ability to drive projects and programs to successful completions will have a direct impact on the productivity of Dropboxers and help propel the company to greater heights.

The most successful candidates for this role will have strong analytical and planning skills, broad technical understanding across corporate information technologies, solid communication skills and a desire to solve complex problems of scale. You should be someone who is capable of seeing the big picture, understand the interdependencies and constraints between systems and able to drive a project from start-to-end. Familiarity with network and systems engineering, deployment and lifecycle management, as well as knowledge of office and datacenter infrastructure is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage project plans; monitor project progress and timelines; adjust schedules and plans as needed; and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success
  • Ensure internal alignment across all key stakeholders
  • Overall responsibility for staffing projects and working with key partners to deliver successful outcomes
  • Manage day-to-day execution of project implementations. Assist with the planning, tracking, documentation and status updates for the project
  • Exercise solid project leadership skills combined with strong business acumen and in-depth analytical skills
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and assist with the creation of project deliverables, as needed
  • Participate in end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management

Requirements

  • 5+ years of similar work experience
  • Experience with project planning methods and tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing project teams, budget and schedule
  • Demonstrated project management skills with cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with strong communication skills both verbal and written
