Our communications team brings the Dropbox story to life for our growing user base and diverse, international audiences. Partnering with teams across the company, we build compelling narratives to share our product, brand, and vision with the world.

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement and manage a comprehensive editorial program to enable two-way and transparent communication between Dropbox, the media, influencers and policy makers.
  • Develop relationships with key people across the company to help source stories and interviews that resonate with external audiences.
  • Broadcast this content using editorial channels such as blogs, Facebook pages, Twitter, YouTube and other emerging platforms. Manage Dropbox’s corporate blog in addition to our existing product and user-facing communications channels.
  • Serve as a generalist on the corporate communications team, and occasionally assist or co-lead major company announcements.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of professional experience, preferably in journalism or other online media.
  • Driven, curious and aggressive, and able to implement a strategy in sometimes ambiguous or unfamiliar environments.
  • Excellent reporting and writing skills, with sharp editorial and news judgment.
  • Capable of understanding how various initiatives fit into a larger strategy (i.e. “connecting the dots.”)
  • Proven ability to produce content under real-time deadline pressure.
  • A knack for capturing complex concepts and conveying them in simple, meaningful language.
  • Adept at copy editing, writing for blogs and social media, and able to multi-task among multiple programs.
  • Passion for Dropbox and deep understanding of social media.
