As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work with a number of teams at Dropbox to maintain a high level of quality in the product. You will be joining a small team at a critical time to define the role and presence of Quality Assurance at Dropbox. Some projects that Quality Assurance Engineers are currently working on are: finding the most efficient ways to test the Dropbox product across dozens of platforms, designing the best ways to manage and incorporate quality feedback from Dropbox’s massive (300+ million) user base, identifying and smoothing out user pain points in the Dropbox product, growing a high-quality QA team and defining the QA mission, and lastly, testing, testing, testing!

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Dropbox software is awesome and high-quality
  • Write and execute test plans, file bugs, and communicate with the team about issues
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process
  • Expand our end-to-end automated test coverage and build tools to help us test more efficiently
  • Interact with users to triage inbound bug reports and reproduce reported issues
  • Work with Engineering, User Ops, and Product Management teams to identify high-impact issues

  • General facility with technology, able to learn new technologies quickly

  • Commitment to quality and a positive, collaborative attitude and approach to testing
  • Extremely self-motivated; able to identify opportunities for improvement and tackle them, without external direction
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing atmosphere
  • Smart and gets things done
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred
  • Programming experience, especially in a professional setting, a plus
  • Test automation experience a plus
