As a Software Engineer in Quality, you will own driving and accelerating Dropbox's ability to ship excellent software to our over 300 million users worldwide. You join a rapidly growing team at a critical time, helping to define the role and presence of Quality Assurance at Dropbox. On any given day, you might be writing unit tests, driving UI automation, building back-end tools, or fleshing out infrastructure; whatever it takes to make sure Dropbox stays reliable and high quality for years to come. Whether you are a desktop pro, a mobile maven, or a web guru, we have a home for you on the Dropbox Quality team.

Responsibilities

  • Expand our end-to-end automated test coverage and build out our automation frameworks
  • Build internal utilities and tools for both individual teams and across all of Dropbox engineering
  • Improve our tooling, logging, and log analysis to quickly identify bugs in the wild
  • Create and execute test plans, file bugs, and communicate with the team about issues
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the testing process
  • Promote a culture of testing at Dropbox
  • Ensure that Dropbox software is awesome and high-quality

Requirements

  • Excellent programming and software engineering skills
  • Self-direction and focus on impact; the ability to identify and tackle Dropbox’s biggest testing challenges
  • The ability to thrive while performing high quality testing in a fast-paced, constantly changing atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude toward test and your fellow engineers
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in software test engineering or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred
