Software Engineer - Productivity

Engineering Team | San Francisco, CA

Dropbox is the home for your most important stuff—now we're bringing it to life with a growing family of products. As we scale our global brand, there’s plenty of space for you to grow alongside us and simplify life for millions of people around the world.

Our engineering team is architecting a family of products that handle over a billion files a day. We take on the complexities of technology that affect everyday life, so that people can get back to living and doing their best work.

A part of that mission is the machinery to deliver our product and support our users. Our Marketing, Sales, User Operations, and Recruiting teams (among others) rely on automation and heavily instrumented workflows to scale with our massive user base and incredibly rapid growth. The Productivity team is a group of engineers focused on designing, building, and maintaining those systems.

The Productivity team’s mission is to make other teams at Dropbox more effective. We work in small groups to design and build tools and processes to help other teams achieve their goals. We also build common infrastructure to deploy and maintain internal tools. We are generalists who strive to maximize the impact of every person at Dropbox.

We work closely with other teams, often embedding ourselves within different business functions to understand their needs and iterate quickly on internal products.
