As the Tax Lead, you will work cross-functionally across the business to design, implement and support Dropbox's global tax strategy and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of international tax including managing US and foreign service providers
  • Responsible for international direct and indirect tax issues (e.g., VAT and sales tax)
  • Work with cross-functional teams and outside consultants located worldwide to develop, implement and defend tax planning strategies and maintain tax compliance globally
  • Oversight of quarterly and yearend international tax provision, for both foreign and US tax issues
  • Assess global cash needs and management issues
  • Monitor international areas to identify and mitigate potential tax exposure, including compliance with all aspects of FIN 48 for such international tax matters.
  • Assist with transfer pricing policies, completing annual transfer pricing studies, working with legal to maintain and develop inter-company agreements and otherwise ensuring operational compliance
  • Prepare and ensure real estate, payroll business tax, and property tax periodic filings and payments are timely reported.
  • Perform state tax registrations, including but not limited to income, business, payroll, sales/use tax, economic registrations, and update business information with states as needed.

Requirements

  • CPA with 7-10 years experience in accounting with a Big 4 accounting firm and experience at a tech company
  • Advanced knowledge of IRS regulations and foreign tax issues with problem solving skills to deal with complex transactions
  • Global cash management and treasury experience
  • Detail-oriented with great organizational skills, but comfortable with ambiguity
  • Execution focused with the ability to manage complex projects involving multiple internal and third parties
  • Experience managing employees/growing team a in a fast-paced environment
