We’re looking for a Marketing Operations Data Specialist to optimize our prospect and customer data flow through our internal CRM and Marketing Automation systems. The ideal candidate knows how to source, import, export and update data between different databases as well as measure and manage account, contact and lead data coverage and data quality through reporting and analysis, to deliver effective marketing and sales campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage account, contact and lead data in Salesforce.com and Marketo and other internal data sources.
  • Regularly source, update, cleanse and manage data for optimal prospecting and account management.
  • Report on data coverage and data quality for different customer segments and geographies and implement processes to continually improve both metrics.
  • Manage mapping of account, contact and lead data to correct users in sales and sales development teams by customer segment and geography.
  • Optimize the flow of data between multiple external and internal data sources to fuel campaign execution.
  • Build and design data capture forms and landing pages for ongoing marketing campaigns.
  • Project manage data quality processes and regularly communicate with internal teams on ongoing status and progress.

Requirements

  • You have a strong working knowledge of Salesforce.com and the Force.com platform. Salesforce.com administrator certification a plus.
  • You have a working knowledge of relevant AppExchange applications (such as DupeCatcher) for managing data quality in Salesforce.com.
  • You are a user of Marketo or have familiarity with marketing automation / email marketing systems.
  • You are an advanced user of Excel and have data management skills – ability to sort and manage data at scale to upload, update, de-duplicate and cleanse data for loading into multiple systems.
  • You know SQL and are comfortable querying relational databases.
  • You have a high level of organization and strong project management skills.
  • You are able to prioritize key tasks and work against deadlines while communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders in sales, sales development and marketing.
  • HTML and CSS programming skills a plus.
  • Adobe photoshop or similar image editing / design skills a plus.
  • Ability to program in Python a plus.
  • You are familiar with different sources of prospect data and are capable of identifying, testing and implementing new data sources for optimal sales prospecting.
  • Ideally, you have a BA or BS degree.
  • You have 2–5 years of work experience, ideally in a similar role.
