How do photos work in Dropbox for Business?

Camera Upload

The Camera Upload feature, for both mobile devices and computers, will be available for personal Dropboxes only. If prior to April 9, 2014, you used Camera Upload in Dropbox for Business, all files in your Camera Uploads folder remained in your work Dropbox. To continue backing up your photos and videos, you can enable Camera Upload in your personal Dropbox.

If you’d like to save photos from your mobile device to Dropbox for Business, instead of using the Camera Upload feature you can individually select which photos you’d like to upload. This allows you to control what specific files you’d like to upload, organize them into their respective folders, and keep personal and work data separate.

Screenshots

After connecting your accounts, you’ll be able to choose whether screenshots from your computer are automatically saved to your personal Dropbox or work Dropbox. When you take your first screenshot, we’ll ask you to select the Dropbox to which you want to save the images.

Photos page on Dropbox.com

The photos page on the website only shows photos from your personal Dropbox. Any photos in Dropbox for Business will remain accessible through https://www.dropbox.com/work.

Albums

If you decide to move photos between your personal Dropbox and work Dropbox through the desktop application, the photos will transfer over, but not the albums in which they may have been included.

Additionally, because the Photos page will only show personal photos, albums that were created in Dropbox for Business will no longer exist, but your photos will still be safe in your work Dropbox.
